Unique Cultural Exchange Opportunity
As part of this unique cultural exchange opportunity, you will also have the chance to learn or improve your Arabic. Each participant receives 3 hours of Arabic classes per week from our educational hub in Amman during the program.
There will also be ample opportunities to practice Arabic with locals in the broader community, both in your projects and during your free time. Additionally, you will have plenty of free time to travel to different cities and regions in Jordan, such as Petra, Wadi Rum, Madaba, Jerash, Aqaba, and the Dead Sea.

Where is our Jordanian Community Development Summer Program 2026 held?
Our volunteering programs are held at Badr Ad Din Zaza, 11190 Amman, the capital of Jordan, where participants can experience the richness of Jordanian culture and daily life. To further enhance your experience and provide deeper engagement and cultural understanding, we organize visits to Jordanian universities, factories, and with local families.
Our program is located in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, one of the most important neighborhoods in Amman. This area is distinguished by its central location in the capital, approximately a 15-minute walk from downtown and west of the Abdali district, home to Abdali Boulevard, the largest modern market in Jordan.
Jabal Al-Lweibdeh attracts diverse groups of people, including Arabs and Westerners, who come to enjoy the neighborhood’s social life and cultural energy. It is considered the cultural and social center of Amman and is home to numerous art galleries and tourist bazaars. The area also offers many cafes and restaurants serving both local and international food.
Many foreigners who come to Jordan to work or study choose to live in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, as they find it a peaceful and comfortable place that blends modern life with Jordanian culture and the history of the region. Once You Arrive to Volunteer in Amman, Jordan
Volunteers are welcome to the school before setting up a schedule. As a volunteer, you will participate in an orientation that includes Arabic classes, information about the city of Amman, and an introduction to Jordanian culture.
To help you fully immerse yourself in the Jordanian community and culture, the school arranges accommodation with a local Jordanian host family. They will support you in your adjustment and assist with any challenges you may encounter. Volunteers may also choose to stay in the school’s shared, comfortable apartment.
After the orientation, you will decide what activities to develop and present to your participants. These will be based on your individual knowledge and topics of interest, your field of specialty, and your level of experience and skills in community development.

We understand that traveling in Jordan is a major attraction for many of our volunteers. Our volunteer programs in Amman are designed to give you plenty of free time to explore the exciting destinations within Jordan.
You are welcome to spend your days off as you wish. Many of our volunteers organize trips to nearby cities and cultural sites together on their days off. This includes, but is not limited to, destinations such as Petra, Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jerash, Madaba, As-Salt, the Dead Sea, Irbid, and more. Traveling around Jordan is relatively easy and affordable.
Indeed, you may be surprised by how quickly your schedule fills up and how fast time seems to fly while volunteering in Jordan!
