Participants will engage directly with Jordanian children in Amman and the surrounding areas, supporting educational, recreational, and cultural activities.

This hands-on experience allows volunteers to make a meaningful impact while learning about Jordanian society, traditions, and daily life. It is ideal for anyone interested in contributing to community development, enhancing their cross-cultural skills, or gaining experience in education and youth programs.

Volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn or improve their Arabic during the program, with structured lessons and ample practice through daily interactions with children and the local community. In addition to their volunteer work, participants can explore Jordan’s rich cultural and historical sites, including Petra, Wadi Rum, the Dead Sea, Jerash, and Madaba, making this program both a rewarding service experience and a memorable cultural immersion.

By the end of the summer, volunteers will leave Jordan not only with enhanced professional and interpersonal skills but also with lifelong memories and a deeper appreciation for the country and its people.

When is the Volunteer With Jordanian Children Summer 2026 Program Held?

The Volunteer with Jordanian Children 2026 program will run from June 16th to June 30th, 2026.

Where Does the Program Take Place?

Our volunteering programs are held at Badr Ad Din Zaza, 11190 Amman, the capital of Jordan, where participants can experience the richness of Jordanian culture and daily life. To further enhance your experience and provide deeper engagement and cultural understanding, we organize visits to Jordanian universities, factories, and with local families.

Our program is located in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, one of the most essential neighborhoods in Amman. This area is distinguished by its central location in the capital, approximately a 15-minute walk from downtown and west of the Abdali district, home to Abdali Boulevard, the largest modern market in Jordan.

Jabal Al-Lweibdeh attracts diverse groups of people, including Arabs and Westerners, who come to enjoy the neighborhood’s social life and cultural energy. It is considered the cultural and social center of Amman and is home to numerous art galleries and tourist bazaars. The area also offers many cafes and restaurants serving both local and international food.

Many foreigners who come to Jordan to work or study choose to live in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, as they find it a peaceful and comfortable place that blends modern life with Jordanian culture and the history of the region. Every street and building in the neighborhood features murals with meaningful stories, and many of its streets are bustling with visitors who consider Al-Lweibdeh their favorite spot in Amman because it reflects the fragrance of the past and the charm of traditional Jordanian life.

This approach allows participants to build confidence in speaking, listening, and understanding the language naturally, while also gaining deeper cultural insight through direct interaction with locals.
