The Summer Arabic program in Amman, Jordan, is an immersive language learning experience that will take place from June to late September 2026. This program provides participants with a unique opportunity to learn Arabic in an authentic and immersive environment, while also experiencing the rich culture and history of Jordan.
The Summer Arabic Immersion Program 2026 is designed to be flexible, allowing participants to choose when they would like to participate. Starting on the 1st day of each month (June, July, August, and September), organized in 4-week sessions. This means that if you desire, you can spend up to three months living and studying Arabic with us here at the Excellence Center.

Our intensive Arabic courses are held at Badr Ad Din Zaza, 11190 Amman, the capital of Jordan, where participants can experience the richness of Jordanian culture and daily life. To further enhance your experience and provide deeper engagement and cultural understanding, we organize visits to Jordanian universities, factories, and with local families.
Our program is located in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, one of the most important neighborhoods in Amman. This area is distinguished by its central location in the capital, approximately a 15-minute walk from downtown and west of the Abdali district, home to Abdali Boulevard, the largest modern market in Jordan.
Jabal Al-Lweibdeh attracts diverse groups of people, including Arabs and Westerners, who come to enjoy the neighborhood’s social life and cultural energy. It is considered the cultural and social center of Amman and is home to numerous art galleries and tourist bazaars. The area also offers many cafes and restaurants serving both local and international food.
Many foreigners who come to Jordan to work or study choose to live in Jabal Al-Lweibdeh, as they find it a peaceful and comfortable place that blends modern life with Jordanian culture and the region’s history. Every street and building in the neighborhood features murals with meaningful stories, and many of its streets are bustling with visitors who consider Al-Lweibdeh their favorite spot in Amman because it reflects the fragrance of the past and the charm of traditional Jordanian life.

The intensive Arabic Program includes 80 hours of Arabic language instruction throughout each 4-week session. The super-intensive Program provides an extended 120 hours of instruction.
During your Arabic classes, you’ll have the opportunity to focus on your preferred Arabic dialect for four or six hours a day, five days a week.

These classes are held five days a week, with two dedicated days for field trips within Amman, all conducted in Arabic/English.

Summer Intensive Jordanian Arabic Program – Eligibility
This Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program in Amman is open to students, undergraduates, graduates, retirees, Arabic learners, and mature students with an academic background. However, English-language fluency is required and you must be between 16-70 years old to apply.
Language Proficiency Level
We offer a full Arabic curriculum, with books and all course materials included, at six different levels to accommodate students of all language experiences and proficiencies, including:
Starter Arabic Courses
For those without prior knowledge of Arabic and who would like to start learning the alphabet, this course will help you develop the fundamental skills to read and write Arabic, understand, and engage in simple, daily conversations.
Beginner Arabic Courses
The beginner Arabic courses are offered at two levels: Beginner I and Beginner II. These Arabic lessons are designed for participants who already have a basic knowledge of Arabic and would like to develop their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.
Intermediate Arabic Courses
The intermediate Arabic courses are also offered at two levels: Intermediate I and Intermediate II. Typically, these lessons provide you with the opportunity for Arabic conversations with native speakers to improve your conversational and colloquial skills. Moreover, we focus on further improving your reading, writing, and listening abilities.
Advanced Arabic Courses
At this level, you will concentrate on refining and perfecting your speaking and writing skills by learning sophisticated and technical vocabulary for use in most topics and discussions.
Can I Add More Arabic Hours to My Study Program?
Of course! Students in all of our Summer Intensive Arabic Immersion Program are free to add additional Arabic language hours. Each additional hour costs 25 euros.
If you are interested in adding extra Arabic hours, please mention this in your email, and we will be more than happy to organize them for you.
Traveling to Jordan
Flying is the easiest and most common way to reach Jordan. Most international travelers arrive at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) near Amman, which is well-connected to major cities worldwide via airlines like Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airways, and Emirates. There’s also a smaller airport in Aqaba (King Hussein International Airport) for some regional and budget flights.
Many nationalities can get a visa on arrival, or you can use the Jordan Pass, which waives the visa fee if you stay at least three nights and includes entry to major sites like Petra.
Queen Alia Airport Pickups
The Excellence Center staff can organize a taxi to pick you up at Queen Alia International Airport and take you directly to Amman and the Center. This is the easiest and most convenient way to reach us (about 30–45 minutes, depending on traffic).
An additional fee applies for this service, typically around 50 euros in total. Please let us know if you would like to arrange an airport pickup.

To assist with planning, we kindly ask that you submit your Summer Arabic Program application via email by the 30th of May. This will help us better organize and prepare for your participation.
